What's next?
Donald Trump calls himself the "law and order president." And yet, his first act as president was to pardon 1,500 criminals who stormed the Capitol, attacked police officers, and left five people dead.
They used flag poles and fire extinguishers as weapons. They crushed police between doors and vandalized the halls of Congress. They threatened to kill the vice president and went looking for Nancy Pelosi.
Enrique Tario, the leader of the Proud Boys, should be behind bars for 20 years. Stewart Rhodes, founder of the dangerous militia the Oath Keepers, should have 18 more years in prison. These men just as dangerous today as they were in 2021 when they led an angry mob to the Capitol.
Now, they're free.
By pardoning them he is giving these militias a green light to proceed with their anti-democracy, white nationalist missions and sending the message that in Trump's America, these groups will be rewarded.
If you're as outraged as we are, please sign our petition to loudly condemn Donald Trump's pardons and stand up to thuggish groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. We won't stand for their hate, and neither should our president.
Make this moment count.
