Hi team, I’m writing to you this morning because, including today, there are 6 days left until our public filing deadline, and this morning we finalized our last online goal for May: $6 million more by midnight Sunday.

That’s a lot of money, I won’t sugar coat it.

And here’s the thing: there’s a very real possibility we could fall short. Earlier this month on our mid-month goal, we ended up coming up about $100,000 short.

That’s okay. We’ve adjusted, but we just need to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Which is why I’m reaching out and asking now: Will you chip in $5 today, and become a donor to this campaign, to ensure that we stay on track to hitting this goal from day one?

Let’s be clear, every single dollar of this $6 million goal will come in online, from people reading emails like this one. And every time an email inspires someone to give $5, we are closer to our goal.

This $6 million will fund all of the hiring we need to do across the country. It will put up ads to fight back where Trump is drowning the airwaves in negative ads.

Falling short means less ads, fewer staff.
