January Young Dem
of the Month
Congratulations to our January Young Dem of the Month,
Alexandria Butler! Alexandria is the Legislative Aide and Director of
Constituent Services for Assemblywoman Alixon Collazos-Gill and was
recently elected President of the Passaic County Young
Democrats. In these roles, she works tirelessly to
advocate for her community, connecting residents to resources and
creating inclusive spaces for young people to engage in politics. She
aims to foster open dialogues about governmental issues, empower young
voices to be part of the solution, and connect emerging leaders with
seasoned professionals to help expand their networks and
careers.
Alexandria graduated from the University of
Delaware with a degree in International Relations and a
minor in Public Policy, focusing on Latin American foreign policy. As
a World Scholar, she studied abroad in Auckland, New Zealand, and
Budapest, Hungary, experiences that deepened her global perspective.
Her commitment to service began with an internship at the The
Borgen Project, where she advocated for policies to
combat global hunger.
A proud daughter of a Peruvian immigrant,
Alexandria is passionate about immigration reform and environmental
policy. She aspires to work internationally on these issues and is
planning to pursue graduate studies abroad, with the goal of one day
contributing to global solutions at the United Nations. Join us in
celebrating Alexandria’s dedication, leadership, and vision for a
brighter future!
