Last autumn, analysis of the impact of housing affordability on London's economy - jointly commissioned by London Councils, the Mayor of London, Trust for London, and the G15 group of social landlords - found that just a one per cent increase in housing affordability in London could yield a boost of £7.3 billion in economic output over a decade. Following that research, London Councils Deputy Chair and Executive Member for Housing & Regeneration Cllr Grace Williams will be among the keynote speakers at an online seminar on 30 January (2pm-3:30pm) that will: explore what the findings mean for London; consider how this methodology can be used, tested and further research produced; apply the findings to policy making; and explore regional solutions that create a positive spillover of benefits.
