Folks, the second Donald Trump administration has just begun, and the president has already gone all in on his plans to reshape our country and the presidency.

Among other directives, on day one, Trump signed executive orders to:

– End birthright citizenship for children born in the United States to immigrants without status.

– Authorize mass deportations and use our military at our southern border.

– Move forward with plans to reshape the federal workforce, putting tens of thousands of jobs at risk.

Though many of Trump’s actions are clearly unconstitutional and will be challenged in the courts, the first day of his administration demonstrates just how far we will have to fight over the next four years to protect our country and our fellow Americans from Trump’s worst impulses.
