Email from Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation   Dear John, Perhaps you’ve heard the expression that goes like this: The Microcosm is a reflection of the Macrocosm. It works the other way around too. The Macrocosm is a reflection of the Microcosm. In other words, what's going on outside of us is a reflection of what’s happening inside. And vice-versa. By now, we all know about the horrible tragedy in Los Angeles with all the fires, people losing their homes, a lifetime of possessions, and a number of people have lost their lives as well. My heart goes out to everyone affected. I have friends who had to flee the fires. Another friend of mine is very busy counseling people who are undergoing horrible grief because they have essentially lost everything. Yes, there’s a fire and it’s burning. And many people are on fire too: in their body, brain, and spirit. It’s called inflammation and it's running rampant in people. Inflammation means your insides are on fire. Moreover, inflammatory conditions such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, heart disease, anxiety (a big one), inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory skin disorders, obesity, and more are all increasing. That’s why you see an advertisement every five minutes on TV for one drug or another. The number one reason is, quite frankly, anger, rancor, and divisiveness in society today. I’ve been around a while and I’ve never seen anything like it. Is there a way to dampen down all this fire in the body and mind? Yes, there is, and you really have to be conscious and work on it. Here are some thoughts: Acute and chronic stress plays a major role in creating fire inside your body. The best way to quench that fire is by meditating each and every morning without fail. Our Kirtan Kriya meditation research has been published in close to 50 papers and we know how amazingly simple yet incredibly powerful it is. Find it here. You must set short and long-term goals toward living a brain-healthy lifestyle. No ifs, ands, or buts. Need some guidance? For that, we’ve created our Brain Longevity Training Program (BLTT). BLTT was initially started for people in ancillary medical fields such as yoga therapists, social workers, psychologists, and nurses but as time has gone on we’ve discovered that it’s a great way for everyone to embark on a brain health and rejuvenation quest. It’s on sale now so check it out. You must reduce the Xenobiotic exposure taking place in your body. Xenobiotics are really bad and unfortunately are everywhere. They include everything from environmental toxins, pollutants, plastics, herbicides, pesticides, and more. There are a number of foods and supplements that can help neutralize the effects of Xenos and we’ll cover them in the days ahead. Much of it is also covered in our BLTT program. And now, for the breaking news: the BLTT has just been approved for 37.5 Credit Hours for RN, MLSW, and behavioral health providers. For a limited time, we are able to offer these CEs at no extra charge, so take advantage of registering today! Take good care of yourself these days. It’s more important now than ever. Live according to your divine spiritual nature.
