Wyoming’s First Lady presents to Game and Fish Commissioners in Cheyenne and two Commissioner’s terms come to an end

CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission met in Cheyenne January 16-17. First Lady Jennie Gordon presented on her initiative, Food from the Field, and expressed gratitude to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the many community partners that make the program possible. Commissioner Ralph Brokaw of District 2 and Commissioner Richard Ladwig of District 6, finished their six-year terms on the Game and Fish Commission.


Social media influencer sentenced for multiple fishing-related charges

CHEYENNE — A Cheyenne man, a self-proclaimed social media influencer and nonprofit head, was recently sentenced on multiple fishing-related charges. On Dec. 18, 2024, 1st Judicial District Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee sentenced Angel Smith-Torres, as part of a plea agreement.


Big game applications open for 2025-26 hunting season

CHEYENNE — Applications are open to hunt this year in Wyoming. Elk, deer, pronghorn, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat and spring turkey applications opened Jan. 2. The deadline to apply for licenses varies based on residency and species.
