Friends, it’s Ruben. Let me be clear:

When there’s common ground, I’ll work with anyone — Democrats, Republicans, even Trump himself — to accomplish something good for the people of Arizona.

When Trump or anyone else does something against my values, or would harm the lives and livelihoods of the people of Arizona, I am going to stand in their way.

I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution as a Marine. Amendment 14 of the Constitution is crystal clear: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

Trump’s executive order to end birthright citizenship is anti-American and unconstitutional. Plain and simple. It’s a violation of our values and ideals, and I will do everything I can to fight it.
