John, it’s been 24 hours since Donald Trump was inaugurated and he’s already abusing his power. He’s signed dozens of Executive Orders on everything from ending birthright citizenship to withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement. He’s pardoned the January 6th rioters who stormed the Capitol to try to overturn the 2020 election results. The first day of Trump’s presidency is a dark sign of what’s to come. But I’m not just going to sit around and grumble about it. It’s more important than ever that Democrats in the federal government use their power to check Trump when he overreaches his authority.
