Well, that was tough to watch. But now is not the time to quit. AYD is moving forward with renewed determination, crafting a strategy to tackle the challenges ahead and push for progress at all levels of government. Difficult moments like these are not new to us, while this was a setback, history shows we triumph when we stand together.
2025 is a pivotal year for our values and our future. To safeguard our rights and champion the leaders who will deliver us from the divisive and hateful rhetoric, we must flip the Governor's Mansion, win statewide offices, and expand our majority in the House of Delegates.
Democratic leadership is essential to protecting a woman’s right to choose, ensuring everyone can love who they love without fear, and restoring the rights of citizens who have paid their debt to society.
Building community is at the heart of this mission. We invite you to join us tomorrow at The Board Room for our Monthly Social to connect with fellow advocates. Don’t miss our Monthly General Body Meeting, where we’ll set the course for our 2025 policy platform. Together, we can protect our values and make a lasting impact.

2025 AYD Policy Platform Survey
As part of our realignment process for 2025, the AYD Executive Board has decided to suspend caucuses for the year as we evaluate our organizational structure and explore ways to strengthen our advocacy efforts.
Throughout this process, AYD remains dedicated to championing the issues that matter most to young Democrats. To guide our work, we are launching the 2025 Policy Platform Survey [[link removed]] , which will help define our policy priorities and advocacy initiatives for the year. We encourage all members to complete the survey by February 11, 2025 [[link removed]] . Additionally, we will host a work session on the policy platform during our January General Body Meeting.

Call for Delegates!
AYD is going to the Virginia Young Democrats Convention in Harrisonburg, Virginia from March 28th-30th !
This is a great opportunity to connect with Young Dems from across the Commonwealth and have your voice be heard in VAYD's leadership reorganization.
This year, AYD aims to cover the cost of in-person registration and lodging of the first 20 AYD dues-paying members who sign up.
The deadline to sign up for the VAYD Convention with costs subsidized in February 5th, 2025 at 5 PM EST. [[link removed]]
