John,

In his first hours in office, Donald Trump dealt blow after blow to our climate: withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement and declaring a false “energy emergency” in order to drive even more fossil fuel extraction.

We’re prepared for Trump’s attacks on our planet, and we’re ready to fight back. Are you with us, John?

Take our two-question survey to let us know what’s most important to you as we take on Trump’s second term together.

Here’s what we’re expecting from Trump and his billionaire allies:

A planet-destroying cabinet: Trump will fill his cabinet with climate-denying, fossil fuel fanatics and his allies who will put billionaire profits over the public good. Under Trump, his federal agencies will attempt to roll back regulations that keep communities safe so that the ultra-rich can keep getting richer.

Threats to clean water: Republican leaders in Congress have already made their priorities clear – including efforts to roll back historic protections against lead in our water by revoking the Biden Administration’s Lead Out of Water Rule, and continuing to expose millions of families to lead service lines. Also on the chopping block: historic regulations to get toxic PFAS out of our water, and critical funding for aging local water systems.

Threats to a livable climate: As we saw on Day 1, Trump intends an all-out assault on our climate, air, and water quality with his “drill baby drill” agenda, with no regard for impacts on surrounding communities, or the influx of climate-fueled extreme weather events. If Trump gets his way, every acre of federal land will be open to fossil fuel extraction, and even more fracked gas will be exported — raking in profits for fracking corporations while our communities are poisoned.

Threats to safe food: Trump and the Republican-led Congress will seek to consolidate even more power in the hands of Big Ag corporations through ongoing Farm Bill negotiations, giving even more power to factory farms at the expense of small farmers, rural communities, and our environment.

Take Our Survey

We’ve been preparing to defend against the Trump Administration since the day he announced another run for office.

We will block Trump’s anti-environment agenda in the courts. Our talented legal team has a long record of winning against powerful special interests in the courts – punching above our weight again and again to level the playing field against well-financed polluters.

We will strategically pressure vulnerable members of Congress to do what’s right. Republicans control Congress, but with a laser-thin majority in the House of Representatives, we know that with you on our side, we can show enough public opposition to their planet-destroying agenda that we can stop the worst of their plans.

We will advance protections for our food, water, and climate at the state level. Our organizing staff and powerful network of volunteers are working locally to counter Trump’s agenda at the state level. We’re working to advance progressive policies, block fossil fuel projects, and move progress forward in states and communities across the country, where we have a track record of winning unwinnable fights — like banning fracking, stopping factory farms, and making polluters pay for climate damage.

Your input right now is critical. Take our two-question survey to let us know your priorities under Trump’s second term.

Food & Water Watch turns 20 this year. As we celebrate two decades of protecting our food, water, and climate, we are so grateful to have you with us, John, and are ready to take on the fights ahead with you by our side.

We have a vision for the future that can’t be undone by one administration. We will fight with everything we have to get through this together and come out stronger through the fight.

Onward together,
