Despite all the difficult news flooding our screens, let’s remember that there are ways to fight back and protect what we love most — especially when we fight together. These actions will help keep the focus on climate, care, and community as we kick off 2025.

As Governor Hochul fiddles on climate while storms flood and fires burn, we can do much more to protect our climate AND low income New Yorkers from climate injustice. Join Renewable Heat Now and allied groups to call on the NYS Legislature to pass the NY HEAT Act in the budget for cleaner heat and lower bills. Sign up here and get on the bus!

🤝🚒⛑️ Help those impacted by the West Coast fires
Communities in California continue to fight climate-fueled wildfires and seek recovery in the wake of some of the region’s most destructive blazes in the region’s history. Here are a few places to donate if you wish to help:

Baby2Baby is providing essential items, including diapers, food, formula and hygiene products for children and families who have lost their homes to the fires. Donate here.

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is seeking monetary donations to equip firefighters battling the wildfires with items including emergency fire shelters, hydration backpacks and wildland brush tools. Donate here.
