John,

Fifteen years ago today, the Supreme Court decided one of the most
disastrous decisions for American democracy, unleashing unlimited spending
on our elections in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.

The decision granted corporations First Amendment rights, legalizing
unlimited election spending by corporations through independent
expenditures, and paved the way for the creation of corporate Super PACs.

Since then, over $58 billion has been spent on congressional elections in
15 years, with the average cost of these races doubling from $5.2 billion
in 2010 to $10.3 billion in 2024.

Justice Democrats has been going up against billionaires’ and
corporations’ war chests since our founding in 2017, counting on
grassroots donations from people like you to help us elect progressive,
working-class candidates who reject corporate PAC money. [ [link removed] ]Will you fuel
our 2026 Candidate Recruitment fund with $5 or more today?

Last cycle, billionaires spent more money than ever before in U.S. House
primary elections, targeting two of the most working-class members of
Congress, our own Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman. In total, AIPAC alone led a
$30 billion Super PAC coalition to take out a former principal and nurse,
proving that they’re scared of our movement.

With 150 billionaire families spending $1.9 billion on political races
last cycle, one billionaire family has 90,000x more political power than
an ordinary American family. That means those 150 families have the same
political influence as over 13.5 million everyday people — or more than
the entire populations of NYC, LA, and Dallas combined.

Because of Citizens United, working-class people cannot afford to run for
office, and everyday voters’ voices are being drowned out by
billionaire-funded Super PACs. Now is the moment for Democrats to fight
back against the corporate takeover of our democracy — but we need your
help to do it.

[ [link removed] ]Rush anything you can afford to help us reach our $100,000 goal to
recruit, support, and elect working-class leaders to Congress who will
fight to overturn Citizens United and give everyday people the
representation they deserve.
