This small group of billionaires is using their money to put their interests before our democracy.
Hey Team –
You probably saw that Big Tech CEOs sat front and center at Trump’s inauguration yesterday. [1]
They’re not even trying to hide it anymore: They are blatantly flaunting their loyalty to Trump to protect (and increase) their profits. No, this is not normal.
The four people highlighted in this photo have a combined net worth of nearly $1 trillion [2] [3]. And that’s not counting the CEOs of Apple, OpenAI, and TikTok, who were also in attendance. This small group of billionaires – who built their wealth and power by exploiting us online – is using their money to put their own interests ahead of our democracy.

Accountable Tech
We see the irony of being on the same platforms we’re fighting to hold accountable, but they are… well… dominant. We have to reach people where they are in order to level the playing field – and we’re ready to bring the fight right to their own platforms.
Accountable Tech is a non-profit organization advocating for digital justice by reining in Big Tech’s threats to society and democracy with legislative, regulatory and structural solutions. We are leading the movement to advance a better, more human-centered digital future and tech for the common good. To learn more, visit accountabletech.org.
