JOHN,

This past weekend, in my traditionally conservative hometown, hundreds of us marched together to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day—a day that reminds us of the power of ordinary people demanding extraordinary change.

Dr. King taught us that “The time is always right to do what is right.” He didn’t wait for permission to demand change, and neither will we. He marched, organized, and spoke truth to power—and today, we carry that legacy forward.

Our march was about more than just resisting a second Trump presidency. It was about defending the fundamental values that make our country strong and just: equality, freedom, and democracy.

Dr. King also said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” I know these words will fuel my fight for the next four years, and our greater fight for what is rightfully ours—a country rooted in fairness and opportunity for all.

Donald Trump is the president again, and many will feel the weight of despair today. But let us remember his message of unity, resilience, and relentless hope. He showed us that progress is possible when people come together to demand change. This weekend proved that there are still so many willing to march alongside one another, for one another.

Let’s honor Dr. King by continuing this fight for justice and progress. Will you join me by adding your name to our supporter list?

In solidarity,
Jennifer Jenkins
