It’s Donald Trump’s first day being president again, folks. Here’s the damage he’s done in a matter of hours:
- He stripped employment protections from tens of thousands of federal workers, laying the foundation to reshape our federal agencies by stacking them with his politicized loyalists.
- He pardoned nearly 1,600 people charged in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol – sending the dangerous message that violence against law enforcement has no consequences.
- He withdrew from the Paris climate accords while climate-change induced fires continue to devastate Los Angeles.
That’s just the beginning, and we’re barely 24 hours into his presidency. He’s likely signing more disastrous executive orders as we speak.
I hope you’ll remember, no matter what this administration has in store, I will stand up and fight to protect the livelihoods of you and every American. Will you chip in to keep me in the Senate so I can continue this crucial work?
Thank you,
Mark Warner
