Hi John
As I attended President Trump’s Inauguration yesterday, I couldn’t help but think of how Democrats were feeling 20 years ago in the wake of losing the popular vote to a Republican candidate. Things seemed bleak, but two years later a huge blue wave swept across the country, sending a new generation of Democratic leaders to DC — including yours truly.
I’ll always work in DC to build common ground and work across the aisle when possible to deliver for Eastern Connecticut.
Will you stand with me today with a donation of $10?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately with Courtney for Congress:
As House Leader Hakeem Jeffries has repeatedly stated since November, Democrats are prepared to reach across the aisle to lower the cost of living for middle-class and working families, as well as to protect Social Security and Medicare. Given that the GOP majority now stands at a fragile one-vote margin of 218, it should be clear that Republicans will need to negotiate in the coming weeks to keep the government open and safeguard the full faith and credit of our financial obligations. However, we will not sacrifice our core values and freedoms — including the right to choose and the ability to fully participate in our democracy.
This new political moment requires political dexterity and the resolve to do what’s right by the folks who sent me here. I’m honored to have your support, and I’m ready to get to work for Connecticut families.
Stand with me by chipping in here.
All the best,
Joe Courtney
