Hi Friend,

As an undercover investigator for Animal Outlook, my mission is to expose animal suffering wherever it happens. What I'm about to share with you is difficult to write, but it's even more difficult to keep silent about.

Over the past two years, I've investigated 18 live markets across San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland. Behind my calm exterior, my heart was breaking. I had to maintain my composure while witnessing and documenting horrific acts of cruelty – all while pretending to be a regular customer.

Let me tell you about one day in September, 2024 ([link removed]) :

I watched as a frog was beheaded while fully conscious, their nervous system still active. I saw a turtle struck in the head with a mallet, and their legs still moving as they were cut apart. Fish were bludgeoned repeatedly, sometimes taking multiple blows before dying. These aren't isolated incidents – they happen every single day in live markets.

The hardest part for me? Knowing that these animals are suffering in plain sight, in violation of California law, yet little is being done to stop it. When I see turtles desperately trying to escape their containers, or frogs crammed into plastic bags struggling to breathe, I have to fight the urge to intervene immediately. I know that documenting these violations is the key to creating lasting change. Will you help Animal Outlook take the next step to end these practices for good?
