I get my fair share of campaign endorsement requests. Running for political office is not easy, nor is it by any means cheap. You can take my word for it. When it comes to making an endorsement, I do my homework. I don't hand out an endorsement to every candidate that asks. When I make an endorsement, I go all in. Today, I'm writing to inform you I'm endorsing Alek Skarlatos, a 27-year-old conservative and veteran running for the U.S. House of Representatives from Oregon. Alek is in real need of financial help, and I'm calling on you to make a gift of $2, $20, $50, $100 or more to his campaign right away! To Congress ➔ 
You might recall that Alek was one of three off-duty national guardsmen, who in 2015, foiled an attempted Islamic terrorist attack on a French passenger train. For his heroism, he received the United States Army Soldiers Medal from President Obama, and the Legion of Honour from the French government. Alek recently visited me in Houston where I was able to get to know him. We discussed his priorities, such as the complete overhaul of the VA and the need to once and for all secure our southern border. To Congress ➔ John, the Democrat Alek is running against was first elected to congress in 1986 - before Alek was even born. No individual has any business serving a government institution for over 33 years! I hope you'll heed my call to immediately send a contribution to Alek's congressional campaign.
