In the past few years, we’ve gained major ground on key animal protection legislation by getting priority bills introduced and building strong, bipartisan support for our issues. And now—with the brand new Congress sworn in—it’s time to push these bills across the finish line in 2025 to protect millions of animals who are suffering.

We must ensure that the 119th Congress acts on these critical measures before the focus turns to other priorities. But it won’t be an easy fight. There is always pushback from well-funded opponents that exploit animals: the trophy hunting lobby, factory farming industry, puppy mill owners and others who abuse animals for profit.
With you beside us, the Humane Society Legislative Fund is fighting these industries head-on to secure laws and regulations to end new animal testing for cosmetics, stop the exploitation of dogs in puppy mills, halt the killing of American horses for human consumption, ensure farm animals are treated humanely and so much more!
