As a Quaker organization, AFSC’s work is grounded in the belief that there is a spark of the divine in all people – no matter where they were born. Immigrants—and all people—should be treated with dignity and have their human rights respected.
But the Trump administration's actions to expand deportation and detention across the U.S. violates human and civil rights and puts families and beloved community members at risk of separation.
Tell Congress to stop deportations immediately!
AFSC has been working with immigrant communities and allies for decades. At the U.S. Mexico border, we are providing solidarity aid to asylum seekers. Across the U.S., we are providing Know Your Rights trainings to immigrant leaders and communities. And we are helping with organizing strategies that provide mutual support as policies are implemented that will tear loved ones apart.
We must act courageously, and with love, to do all that we can to stop this from happening. Please join us. Immigrants are our neighbors, community leaders, and friends. I urge you to write to your members of Congress to demand an immediate end to deportations and related actions. That includes workplace raids, detention at ICE check-ins, and arrests at schools, hospitals, and other places where people need to access essential services.
We need an immigration system that welcomes people and treats them with dignity. One that honors the Light in every person. Please write to Congress to demand an end to deportations to help keep families and communities together.
