This is a tough day, there is no getting around it. 

Right now we’re at the start of a presidency that will seek to do so much harm in so many aspects of people’s lives across the country. It’s a sad moment in our history, but we cannot become stuck in despair. We cannot succumb to fear. We cannot give up.

Together, we must get (and stay) ready to stop attacks on our democracy that will aim to make it harder to achieve fair representation.

If you’re still in this fight — if you’re still committed to ensuring fair maps and fair representation across the country — then Day One of Trump’s presidency is the perfect moment to make a contribution to power our efforts defending democracy in the months ahead.

From organizing for fair congressional maps to protecting the U.S. Census from Project 2025 attacks, we know what it takes to push back on the anti-democratic policies of Trump and his allies.

Now, it’s just a matter of gathering the resources and putting in the work.
