Trump promises 'golden age'
In his first remarks as the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump declared that “America’s decline is over.”
 
After he took the oath of office, Trump told the crowd gathered inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda that his new term will usher in a “golden age,” listing some of his early priorities. 
 
A national emergency at the border. Invoking manifest destiny. Reclaiming the Panama Canal. A U.S. policy that only recognizes two genders. It was a half-hour speech that, as our panelists discussed, was lighter on unity and zeroed on the major campaign promises that helped catapult him back into the Oval Office.
