Brad Lander for NYC Mayor

Dear John,

There’s a lot going on today.

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day – a day to honor Dr. King’s legacy both by standing up for our values, and by doing more as a city to live up to them.

We just learned of the passing of Cecile Richards, former president of Planned Parenthood and fighter for a future where all our daughters can thrive.

And there’s the inauguration of Donald Trump, which Mayor Adams – in search of a pardon – attended.

We’ve also got a bit of campaign news. Today we’re launching The Lander Lens, a new Substack newsletter that provides deeper insights into how we build a safer, more affordable, more broadly thriving, and better-run New York City.

Please read my first Substack newsletter here, all about honoring Dr. King by fighting for solidarity dividends.

SIGN UP FOR THE LANDER LENS

Our Substack is free for anyone to join. But John, this isn’t your ordinary Substack.

Here’s how ours works: Once you reach $250 in contributions to our campaign, you’ll be opted out of the regular fundraising emails you get here, and only receive our Substack newsletter.

I know how it goes. Usually, you pay more for more content. But I value your time (and your inbox). If you reach $250 in total contributions, you’ll never have to read another deadline fundraising email again.

So what do you say?

DONATE

Thanks,

Brad

P.S. Why $250, you might ask? That’s the maximum amount you can donate to our campaign that will be matched by the Campaign Finance Board. All contributions from NYC residents up to $250 are matched 8:1 by the City – so if you reach $250 in contributions, you’ll never receive an annoying fundraising email in your inbox again.
