Four years ago, Donald Trump incited an insurrection to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential election, claiming widespread fraud and spurring the biggest attack on American democracy since the Civil War.
Today, in the very building his supporters attacked on January 6th, 2021, Donald Trump took the oath of office and officially became the 47th President of the United States.
John, to say that we’re entering into an unprecedented moment in American history is a gross understatement.
Donald Trump has taken every opportunity to disparage the truth, undermine our democratic systems, and disregard the rule of law to prop up his own interests. We witnessed it firsthand for four years, and we’re bound to see more of it in the days to come.
