Wes Moore for Maryland

John,

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is what are you doing for others”

We honor Dr. King’s legacy through our persistent fight for what is right and an unwavering heart and spirit in service of our nation’s most vulnerable.

When we reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy, it’s not because we are looking backward. We reflect on Dr. King’s legacy because the principles he stood for can help us light the path to a brighter future.

Today is a reminder of the work that needs to be done to make good on Dr. King's dream by making it within reach for our families and communities, our most vulnerable and most neglected.

We must address the longstanding systems that hold people back and work together to create generational change to make sure every Marylander has the opportunity to succeed.

As we reflect on Dr. King’s work today, remember his message that doing what is commendable is not enough. Removing the barriers to justice is our life’s work. Not just today, but every day.

Elevate,

Wes
