This week, in an act of defiance, the Progressive Change Institute built
power to fight Trump’s assault on working families.
For an hour, we held "Speed Intros" for new and younger members of
Congress to meet top journalists and social media influencers. This
included many House Democrats who won Trump districts by campaigning for
working people – something Donald Trump only pretends to do.
Then, for two hours, it turned into a big power-mingling event. More
reporters, more members of Congress, congressional staff, and top
organization leaders all showed up to build relationships with each other
for the fights ahead.
When reporters are thinking about who to talk to in Congress, we want them
to call the rising stars who know how to defeat Trump on working class
issues. And with so many new members of Congress, we want them and their
staff to meet each other and key organizational allies.
BOTTOM LINE: WE HAVE BEEN PREPARING FOR THE FIGHTS AHEAD. Building muscle.
Assembling a posse of economic populist fighters. Building teamwork.

tax-deductible $4.70 monthly donation (or $47 if you can) to fight back
against Donald Trump’s attempt to steal our Social Security and health
care to line the pockets of billionaires like Elon Musk. Chip in monthly
to our work here.
