Today, as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded of his unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and the power of collective action. Dr. King taught us that progress is not inevitable—it results from courage, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of what is right.

Dr. King’s vision challenges us to dismantle systems of inequality, confront racial and economic injustice, and build a society where all people have the opportunity to thrive. His words echo in our hearts as we expand voting rights, ensure access to quality education, and guarantee fair treatment under the law for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or background.

Earlier today, I joined the annual Denver Marade march to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy. Together, we will reaffirm our commitment to the progressive principles he championed—equity, compassion, and the belief that diversity makes us stronger.

I invite you to join us as we carry forward Dr. King’s dream, turning his vision into action. Whether by marching, volunteering, or having meaningful conversations with those around us, we all have a role in building the beloved community Dr. King envisioned.

Let us honor his legacy by recommitting ourselves to the fight for justice and the promise of a brighter future for all.
