**The United States House of Representatives advanced the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025. I voted "YES" to pass this common sense legislation.**

This bill would prevent schools from allowing biological males to compete in girls' sports. It would also withhold federal funding from schools that facilitate athletic programs where biological men are allowed to compete against women.

As a father of three daughters, I know how hard female athletes train to achieve their goals. I will ALWAYS defend and protect our women and girls.

I voted "YES" to pass the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ failed border policies have invited criminal illegal aliens from all over the world to invade our country. As of July 21, 2024, over 662,000 noncitizens were on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) national non-detained docket, meaning they are free to roam in our states, cities, and communities. This is unacceptable.

This past week, the United States House of Representatives passed the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, which closes a loophole in immigration law by adding inadmissibility for specific domestic violence-related offenses.

Border Security Updates from incoming Border Czar Tom Homan and Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland:

Last week, I had the privilege of meeting with Tom Homan, a true patriot with the experience and determination to put America first and restore order at our border.

The Border Security Caucus, which I co-chair, met with Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland from Terrell County, TX. Sheriff Cleveland shared encouraging news that border crossings have slowed since Donald Trump was elected. It's clear that with a strong leader in the White House, the era of unchecked illegal immigration is coming to an end.

My office was open for Texans who traveled to our Nation's Capital for the Inauguration.

Hosting an open house for constituents was a true highlight of the week. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from home, all gathered in DC to celebrate our 47th President.
