Our partners’ work to defend fundamental rights and freedoms didn’t end with the election cycle, and it will continue regardless of who is in the Oval Office.

For example, in Mississippi, the Immigration Alliance for Justice and Equity (IAJE) advocates for immigrant rights in the Deep South and provides legal training and resources for their community. IAJE’s immigrant-led movement leads the fight to safeguard the rights of all. They’re undoubtedly a crucial resource for vulnerable communities who may be threatened in the coming months.

In Alabama, Stand Up Mobile is educating, empowering, and turning out voters who have been historically underrepresented. In a state that struggles with voter turnout, Stand Up Mobile is committed to bringing the power of Black voters to elections at every level.

Folks, the work we’ve done together doesn’t disappear today, but it did just get a lot more important. We’re doubling down on support for organizers across Groundwork’s target regions to prepare for the fights ahead.
