Dear Sisters and Brothers,?

?

The words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ring loud and clear today as we gear up for the inevitable fights ahead.? ?

Our efforts can't be dictated simply by who sits in the Oval Office. Our path to a stronger Labor Movement is, and has always been, to put our faith in our own collective power. We must continue our work to organize every single worker who wants a union and recommit to building a unified labor movement and more just world.

?

This is a moment to act, not despair.

?

We have already started mobilizing to demand that Congress protect healthcare funding from the billionaires who seek to dismantle it. While many of us have health insurance through our work thanks to our union, that's not the case for everyone. Millions of our neighbors, loved ones and those who are retired must rely on health insurance like Medicaid or Medicare. That's why earlier this month,?we organized actions around California to send a message to Congress to protect healthcare for millions and vote against drastic cuts to Medicaid.

?

La lucha sigue, the struggle continues, and so will our collective actions. As hard as they may try to break us, our Labor Movement is unwavering and will stand stronger together.

?

In Solidarity,?
