I woke up with a pit in my stomach today, JOHN, Today, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. It’s darkly ironic that this man, who has sown such division in our country, will officially become president on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. But Dr. King said “Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.” That encapsulates exactly how I’m feeling this morning. I don’t know what the future holds for our country, but I know I won’t sit idly by and allow others to make that future for me. I will work every day to build upon Educated We Stand’s 2024 victories to continue to fight back against the tide of extremism wrought by Moms for Liberty and other radical right-wing groups. So I’m asking, JOHN, on this bleak day, for you to support our work with a $5 or more donation. Republicans control the entire federal government right now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get to work dismantling MAGA extremism in our schools. I will be fighting every step of the way and Educated We Stand will work day and night to restore the soul of our public schools. If you’re with me and with us, please consider donating to Educated We Stand today. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: On Trump’s inauguration day, let’s begin building the road to dismantling his extreme ideology in our country.
