This is a hard day for our movement, Climate Champion. As President Trump takes office, it’s difficult not to lose heart, acknowledging the challenges on the horizon. 

President Trump has pledged to pull the US out of the historic Paris Agreement. He’s promised to ramp up domestic drilling at a time when the US is already the world’s largest oil producer. And he’s repeatedly threatened to gut the Inflation Reduction Act, our country’s largest ever investment in clean energy. It’s clear who he’s working for, and it isn’t us. 

In a moment such as this, it's important to remember that all major reform efforts, from civil rights to the climate movement, suffer dark days. But as our founder and chairman, former Vice President Al Gore, has said, “Climate activism is the antidote to climate despair. Hope can help people find the energy to act.”
