Today was supposed to be a great day. If things had gone differently, we could have watched Kamala Harris be sworn in as our nation’s first Black woman president — on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Instead, we’re about to watch racist felon Donald Trump be inaugurated as extremist-in-chief for a second time — and frankly, we’re terrified about what the future holds. One thing’s for sure: Our fight to elect proven Democratic leaders up and down the ballot in Georgia has never been more important than it is right now. Our statewide electeds will be the first line of defense against whatever Trump throws our way in the next four years — and it’s up to all of us to prepare for the inevitable.
Re-electing Jon Ossoff in 2026 is our best shot at taking back the Senate and providing a critical check on Donald Trump’s power — and he knows that. That’s why we’re expecting millions of dollars to pour in from out of state to flip the seat red, and MUST build up our resources now. While Trump cozies up to far-right billionaires and abuses the highest office in the nation to settle his personal vendettas, our fight is fueled by Georgians chipping in whatever they can — be it $5 or $50 — to secure our rights, our communities, and our collective future.
