This will be a dark day for many people as Donald Trump becomes President of
the United States.

If you’re troubled by Trump’s divisive politics, disregard for democracy and
the rule of law, and threats to international trade, climate action, and global
security, you’re not alone.

isn’t confined to the US. It’s growing across Europe and present here in the UK.

Now is the time to defend our values of decency, compassion and equality and
ensure the UK plays an active, positive role in the world - from fighting
climate change to supporting our allies.

And now’s the moment to get serious about protecting our economy and national
security by fixing our broken relationship with the EU.

Last week, our leader, Ed Davey MP, outlined our plans to agree a new Customs
Union with the EU

the economy and strengthen our ties with our European partners. Only the
Liberal Democrats are championing this bold vision.

We will always fight for an open, fair, and liberal country. Now we need your
