On Saturday, I joined many Arlington residents and the Leadership Center for Arlington at the annual MLK Day of service. The messages we heard centered on a quote from him that I think is worth lifting up as we endure the cold and today's inauguration:
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
In our own purposeful and peaceful ways, let's remember that and recommit to work in service of the Dream that Dr. King envisioned.
