Today we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a civil rights icon. Thanks to Dr. King’s activism, our nation has made leaps in the pursuit of equality. As we take some time to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy, let us remember that Dr. King stood strong in his convictions irrespective of all the adversity in his own life. Dr. King had his home bombed, faced constant death threats, was jailed numerous times, and still stood strong against discrimination. Dr. King displayed courage, resilience, and unwavering faith that we can all find inspiration from. As we encounter new and unique challenges, let us recommit ourselves to carrying on the legacy of Dr. King’s work.
