Today Donald Trump is set to be inaugurated once again as president of the United States. And Trump intends to fill key environmental posts in his cabinet with climate deniers and big polluter allies.

One of those nominees is oil-industry CEO Chris Wright to head up the Department of Energy.

Wright’s confirmation hearing last week confirmed for America that he is unfit to lead this critical agency charged with protecting our environment and expanding our clean energy economy: He denied the existence of dirty energy, made bizarre statements about wildfires, and confirmed his plans to dramatically ramp up destructive domestic fossil fuel production.

But before Wright can take office, he must be confirmed by a vote in the Senate.
