This work takes all of us. Now, more than ever, it’s critical to stay engaged and be ready to take action.

John,

Today, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as President of the United States for his second term. It’s a heavy day, and if you’re feeling anxious, angry, or uncertain about our future — you are not alone.

But one thing remains clear: Sister District, and our growing community across the country, are ready to keep fighting back.

The antidote to MAGA extremism is building Democratic power in our states. That’s how we’ll continue to protect our democracy, rights, and communities.

This work takes all of us. Right now, you have the power to take action by helping us lay the groundwork to elect Democrats at the state level who will push back on Trump’s dangerous agenda.

Before Donald Trump is sworn in, will you make a special gift to Sister District? If you can, please consider making a monthly contribution to power our work for the long haul.

We founded Sister District out of a sense of despair after the 2016 election, and together, our community has elected hundreds of progressive champions to state houses in strategic districts in swing states across the country.

In 2016, Democrats held majorities in just 29 state legislative chambers. Now, they control nearly 40.

Together, we’ve flipped, protected, and made incredible gains in state legislatures, the battleground for so many of our rights. Our alumni have fought boldly to reverse abortion bans and codify access to reproductive care, take action on climate change, pass common sense gun reform, fight to protect the LGBTQ+ community, and strengthen our voting laws.

John, our community knows how to organize against Donald Trump’s extremism and chaos at the federal level — and we’re not stopping now.

But to keep up this democracy-saving work, we need your help. Can you make a gift today to sustain this fight?

Thank you — and more soon!

In solidarity,

Sister District
