Today, the New PA Project Education Fund is commemorating the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dr. King dedicated his life to being a leader in the civil rights movement until his life was taken from us too soon, and at the height of his work to further justice and advocate for equality for all. He showed the world that community organizing can lead to critical changes in our democracy that lift up the most vulnerable and protect basic human rights and freedoms. While we once again find our democracy in peril, we are dedicated to honoring Dr. King’s legacy.
We can accomplish all things when we stand together for what’s right and what’s just. It’s what Dr. King did and what we are going through today. Democracy works best when all voices are included to ensure it works for everyone.
We are honored to commemorate Dr. King and Mrs. Coretta Scott King’s lives and legacy today and every day by actively engaging Pennsylvanians on the ground all across the Commonwealth to ensure full participation in the democratic process.
