"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Friend, these words ring true today as we honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while Donald Trump is inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States.

Dr. King believed in progress and moving forward as a collective group, overcoming the hatred and division presented before him. I feel it’s important now more than ever to take Dr. King’s words and actions to influence our work to continue working together in this time of uncertainty.

I hope that you will join me today in honoring Dr. King’s words. I encourage everyone to treat each other with kindness, empathy, and compassion. We must stand up for what is right and come together to protect our democracy.

Thank you for your support.
