John —
Later today, Donald Trump will once again take the oath of office as President, marking a pivotal and uncertain moment for our nation.
This is an unpredictable time, and many Americans, myself included, are deeply concerned about what the future holds.
However, As part of the peaceful transfer of power, I will attend today’s inauguration. Upholding our democracy and respecting the will of the people must always come before partisan politics.
Make no mistake—no matter what challenges we face in the coming years, I remain committed to holding truth to power, just as I did when I blew the whistle on Trump all those years ago.
But Holding Trump accountable won’t be easy, John. I know I am at the top of Trump’s list of enemies — Trump has made that clear time and time again. Trump’s right hand, Elon Musk, has already threatened retribution against my brother and me because of our willingness to speak out all those years ago.
We must be prepared for anything in the years ahead. Every time I take a stand to hold Trump accountable, it gives him and his MAGA allies more reason to try to undermine our pro-democracy movement. But with your support, we can push back and ensure accountability prevails.

Today marks the beginning of a difficult road ahead. But I am confident that as long as we stand together and remain steadfast in our commitment to democracy, we will prevail.
