Friend, tomorrow, Donald Trump will be inaugurated for his second term in the White House.

Listen, I get it – it's tempting to tune out this moment and disengage from updates about the incoming administration. But with Republican majorities in Congress and a Supreme Court that's been stacked with ultraconservative justices, Trump has more power than ever to implement his most dangerous policies.

That means we cannot tune out. We cannot disengage. The stakes are too high – and it's exactly what Trump is counting on. Because if we bury our heads in the sand, he has a clear path to do whatever he wants – completely unchecked. And that's a thought I just can't stomach.
