Celebrating President Trump's Inauguration

It was great to welcome South and West Texans to D.C. to celebrate Donald Trump's inauguration.

Under President Trump's leadership, America is back! I'm ready to get to work to make America stronger, safer, and greater than ever.

Dialed In With Texans

This week, I had the opportunity to meet with city leaders from across Texas' 23rd District. We discussed their priorities and how we can help them at the federal level.

I'll always strive to have strong partnerships at all levels of government.

I also met with superintendents from across the district to discuss priorities for educators across TX-23.

Combatting the Cartels

This week, I introduced the Security First Act to combat cartel and gang activity, improve border security technology, and deliver more resources to law enforcement officers in border communities.

Cartels and violent gangs have exploited our borders and communities. It’s time to take the gloves off and designate these dangerous groups as foreign terrorist organizations.

Protecting Women's Sports

It is common sense—female athletes shouldn’t have to compete against biological men.

This week, I voted for the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act to prevent that from happening.

Making America Safe Again

This week, I was proud to support H.R. 30 to identify and deport illegal immigrants with sexual violence charges.

Our nation is not a haven for the world’s bad actors. I'm committed to making America safe again.

Friday marked a historic and momentous day for the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Tribe in El Paso County. After years of work, the Government of the Netherlands has agreed to return several sacred artifacts home where they belong.

I want to thank everyone who partnered on making this possible, including Governor Michael Silvas and Lt. Governor Adam Torres, for their leadership. I look forward to working with the Pueblo to see to it that these objects finally come home.

In support of attempts by the Pueblo to have these artifacts returned by the Dutch government, Congressman Gonzales urged the Department of State to collaborate on repatriation efforts, met with Dutch ambassador Birgitta Tazelaar, and fought for appropriations language to emphasize the importance of returning these important relics to El Paso.
