This week, Deb Haaland served her final days as Secretary of the Interior.
As the first Native American to serve as Cabinet Secretary, she redefined
what representation at the highest levels of our government looks like.
During her tenure, Secretary Haaland championed equity and justice within
the Department of the Interior, delivered historic conservation policies
to protect our lands and waters, and catapulted clean energy development.
From launching initiatives to pursue justice and combat the crisis of
missing and murdered Indigenous people to protecting our natural resources
that sustain life and culture, Deb has left an unforgettable mark on our
nation.
