I have a few minutes while I get ready for tomorrow, so I wanted to send you a quick note.

I know that for all of us in this movement, Trump’s inauguration is a moment of great anxiety for the future of our country and the progress we’ve fought for.

Truth is, the next four years will be hard. They will present all kinds of challenges, and we will surely take some losses.

But nothing is set in stone. Nothing is certain as long as we exercise the greatest power we have in our democracy: the power of the people, organized and ready to fight for what we know is right.

That’s why I’m asking you, Joanne. Let’s make tomorrow day one of our mission to turn the tide against the far-right, fight for the working class of this country, and take back Congress and the White House.

It’s a lofty goal, I know, but every successful grassroots movement is built piece by piece, one person at a time. And we just can’t afford the alternative. We don’t have the luxury of backing down as MAGA extremists target the most vulnerable among us and make the ultra-rich even richer.
