Hey, John — it’s Jane.

I know this moment might feel heavy. Tomorrow, we turn the page to another chapter under the Trump administration. The progress we’ve made, the future we’ve worked so hard for — it all feels fragile.

We know the incoming administration is no friend to our movement. Trump, his campaign officials, cabinet nominees, and his allies in the fossil fuel industry have made it abundantly clear they do not consider the climate crisis a legitimate issue to focus on. Instead, they’ve taken aim at the progress we’ve made and have vowed to roll it back for the sake of corporate profits at the expense of our planet, our health, and our future.

But here’s what I want you to remember: We are not powerless. This fight has always been about more than one person in one office. It’s about us — all of us — coming together to build something bigger than ourselves. And together, we’ve already proven that when we rise, we can win.

The road ahead won’t be easy, but I know we can fight back and celebrate some wins along the way — if we stay united and strategic.
