John,
I wrote to you a few days ago to explain that the
Leaders' Debates Commission once again modified the criteria for
participation in the coming debates.
On the basis of the previous
criteria, I would have automatically been allowed to participate,
since the PPC got 4.9% in the 2021 election, and one of the criteria
was to have received at least 4% in the last election.
But that criteria was removed, and the new ones are making my
participation much less likely.
It will now depend on
unreliable poll results that change from week to week and can be
manipulated, for example by omitting the People’s Party as an option
in the responses.
These changes only impact me and no
other leader.
They seem explicitly aimed at excluding me from
the debates, which would deprive the PPC's 840,000 voters in the last
election of a voice.
John, we’ve set up a petition
that you can sign online, and your message will automatically be sent
to the Leaders’ Debates Commission.
PLEASE SIGN IT TODAY AND TELL THE COMMISSION THAT
YOU WANT THE PPC’S VOICE TO BE HEARD!
It’s
absolutely crucial that as many people as possible put pressure on the
Commission to reverse its decision.
Please forward this
message, or the link to the petition, to a friend or family member who
cares about our democracy.
Once again John, please click on this link now to sign our
petition and tell the Commission that silencing an
important voice is a denial of democracy!
Thanks a lot for your help,
-Max
