Mark Zuckerberg and Meta have turned their backs on the truth.

Meta has laid off fact-checkers and will no longer flag dangerous disinformation on its platforms.

By dismantling Meta’s fact-checking operations, Zuckerberg is letting loose a flood of lies, disinformation, and harmful content on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. This reckless decision was made after private meetings with Trump and his cronies. It’s a blatant appeasement of Trump and a direct threat to our democracy.

Meta has around 3.5 BILLION daily users across its platforms. They have a duty to protect users from dangerous lies and propaganda.

We’re calling on Mark Zuckerberg and Meta to reinstate fact-checking immediately and commit to fighting disinformation — not fueling it. Will you sign the petition right now to demand action?
