Tomorrow, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor Dr. King and his legacy of equal justice for all and service to others.

He was a true American hero, whose vision and embodiment of the best of the American experiment resonates deeply in this challenging time.

Dr. King wasn't just one of the best orators in human history; he also did the hard work of organizing a movement to challenge the forces of hatred and oppression – even if it ultimately meant paying the highest price possible.

As we face challenges ahead, we must remember and honor his example. The fight for civil rights is ongoing, and we need to do more than simply repeat MLK's words – let us continue his fight against injustice.

Our future as a country depends on our ability to update and live Dr. King's example in a new century.

The arc of the moral universe may bend toward justice as Dr. King said, but it will only continue if we put in the work to pull it toward justice.

Dr. King lived that example and I urge you to take this moment to recommit to the hard work of helping our nation become a place where all can live with dignity and equality.

Onward,

Jerry
